Build the Future.Timber Futures is a global ideas competition calling on the next generation of architects, designers, and visionaries to explore the radical potential of timber in shaping our built environment. In a time of climate crisis and ecological urgency, timber is more than a traditional building material — it's a symbol of regeneration, circularity, and low-carbon design.We're inviting you to submit a powerful architectural proposal that uses at least 50% timber in its structural system — and you can choose any site in the world or invent your own. No restrictions. No entry fees. No red tape.

Already have a timber project from studio, a competition, or a personal exploration? You can submit that too. We welcome past work as long as it fits the brief.

This competition is completely FREE to enter, open to students, graduates, and emerging professionals worldwide. Finalists will gain global exposure and have their work featured across Creathlon's platforms — with cash prizes and a custom-designed trophy for the winner.

Submission Requirements 1. Three Individual A3 Renders (Landscape) • Aerial View: Show environmental context and timber strategy at a large scale. • Eye-Level View: Convey human experience, warmth, and material atmosphere. • Section: Reveal structure and technical clarity of how timber is used (annotations allowed). 2. Project Description – Single PDF (max 500 words)Explain how timber is used architecturally, structurally, and environmentally in your concept. Be clear, focused, and honest. Visuals and text must speak together. Note: Do not create boards or combined layouts. We want clean, focused, individual files that speak powerfully on their own.
