What made you decide to become a designer?
People are the main reason why I want to be a designer. I always believe that good designs are close to human nature and solve human needs such as ecological buildings, green architectures, sustainable products...etc. Can you tell us more about your design background? The interior design courses of my major in college were the enlightenment of design principles about human scale, chromatics, friendly accessibility ...etc. During my time at the Graduate School of Architecture, I started to constantly focus on the related issues of earth and environmental sustainability. My nurturing background in design broadens my perspective and looked at architecture and interior design in a different light.
How do you stay inspired and keep coming up with creative ideas? I am used to paying close attention and being sensitive to global changes and getting inspired by design-related issues.
What does good design mean to you? Good design to me is the simultaneous solution for Environmental Sustainability, People-oriented, and Spatial Aesthetics.
What is the most challenging thing in your profession? The most challenging thing in my profession is finding better solutions to improve user experience and responding actively to global environmental sustainability issues.
Please, explain the best project you are most proud of and why. I am most proud of my two 2022 Gold-winning projects in interior design. The award-winning projects not only are high-quality solutions for clients but also give me the opportunity to contribute my effort to the earth's sustainability by planting trees through the award organizer.
What is your biggest design career moment? How does this milestone impact your career? Every single year is a new challenge for my design career. Every observation and daily study help me face the unknowns and challenges of my future design career.
How do you learn and grow your knowledge and design skills? Stay sensitive to global changes, search for design-related discoveries and knowledge from them, and propose better design solutions.
What would you say will be future of design? The future design needs more human-friendly and environmental-friendly solutions. What are your career plans for the future? I would like to take architectural interior design as a lifelong career and continue to propose people-oriented and environmentally sustainable design solutions.
