Call for Drawings - The Power of Shadow

ADAM | Mediterranean Archive of Architectural Drawings seeks to investigate the practice of the architect through drawing as the privileged medium for translating ideas into projects.

On the occasion of this CALL, ADAM | Mediterranean Archive of Architectural Drawings invites designers and members of the international scientific community to submit an original drawing on the theme The Power of Shadow. An Inquiry into the Expressiveness of Mediterranean Architecture.

The range of drawings may be diverse: from sketches to surveys, study drawings, verification drawings, or graphic reinterpretations of completed projects. The objective is to explore the theme through drawing as a tool for design, evaluation, and control, highlighting the dimension of "thought in drawing."

Particular attention and positive evaluation will be given to contributions concerning Mediterranean cities or architecture, or Mediterranean identity understood as an interdisciplinary field of inquiry. Selected contributions will be published in a monograph, while the original works, upon donation by the individual authors, will become part of the archival heritage of the ADAM - Mediterranean Archive of Architectural Drawings Collection.
