World Capital Tower is a 52-storey office building located at the Mega Kuningan Area in the Golden Triangle Central Business District of Jakarta, Indonesia. It is the tallest building in the Mega Kuningan Master Plan with a height of 244.3 metres.
The design is to provide a simple, efficient and elegant building The architectural language lends for unity and coherence between the podium and tower through vertically curved planes, allowing for a sense of 'timelessness' in its design. Geometrically, these planes follow the strong lines of the urban fabric where the site is located.
The different spacing between plans as well as the different heights of podium and tower volumes provides a dynamic read of the overall project and formal consistency throughout the building.
Situated in a flood-prone region, the site has been raised above flood level to avoid inundation of the building’s underground and lower levels. The tower’s glass curtain wall facade is coated with Low-E double glazed units to reduce heat and the building’s cooling load in the site’s tropical climate. These panels also reduce noise from the adjacent main roads.
