Since the base is located on the hill with quite a large height difference facing the Wu River of Nantou County, the design, therefore, needs to consider the balance and trade-off between “keeping the optimized landscape while introducing outdoor landscapes indoors” as well as the “constructional techniques for building that is dangling on the hill.” For this, the design for the structure of the cantilever panel is fixed through piling, while the overall structure is based mainly on architectural concrete; other than wanting to express the quality of the materials after the construction is completed, it is also hoping to convey that the relevant memories of the sounds produced by the materials during the construction due to various types of techniques still exist in the concrete, even though they are not there anymore after the construction is completed. When the proprietor compares the various types of sounds during the visits to the constructional site of the building with the natural tranquility after the construction is completed, a different memory will then be created.
