‘Velaris’, meaning ‘hidden’ of ‘veil’ in Latin, and ‘City of Light’ in the US, reveals the splendor underneath a sense of subtlety. At the reception, the backdrop not only blends in perfectly with the shades of twilight around the sales gallery, the refine diamond pattern shines out in the tint of bluish grey.
A retro design approach is applied throughout the sales gallery. Vibrant colors of furniture like orange, mustard green and yellow contrast with natural tint of blue from the exterior. While defined structure of wooden stripes, natural texture of marble and wood add on tactility and masculinity, the lollipop-shaped screen further celebrates the chic and playfulness from the 80s. By controlling the rhythm and density of the design element, it also acts as important element defining different spatial qualities for each area, yet creates a strong sense of connection in between. In discussion area A, a gigantic checkered hanging feature at the bar is the centric focal point while the retro touch continuous to infiltrates in the atmosphere through the silky floral wallpaper.
