In this noisy and complicated world, most individuals hope to have a space to breathe, relax, enjoy life, and slow down the pace of life. Since the homeowner has traveled worldwide for many years for work, he has stayed at various hotel accommodations. Therefore, he finds it more desirable to have a tranquil space to calm his mind than a luxurious and over-decorated space. The designer adopted the Japanese aesthetic wabi-sabi as the central theme of the area and kept all design and material elements to their fundamentals, using wood, concrete, and natural lighting as the main presentation to construct a residential style that is simple, natural, and pure. Inside, raw concrete is utilized as the primary focus of the interior, and wooden materials are planned to create a warm and cozy atmosphere. Brass and iron furniture were chosen to add an elegant atmosphere to the area. Considering the homeowner's love for baking, the designer installed an edible 304 stainless steel table, which is low-temperature, to avoid the possibility of damaging baking ingredients due to rapid heating. Through the designer's ingenuity, proper storage space is set up, including a rotating shoe rack to double the shoe storage capacity so that the limited space can also come with sufficient storage space. To embody the quietness and texture of "wabi-sabi,” the entire residence is planned without breaking or removing tiles. Also, it is clad with mineral soil that can regulate humidity, not only to reduce the production of construction waste but also to create a breathing organic house. In summary, the designers' careful planning has resulted in a beautiful and mesmerizing living space.
