The recreation center of knowledge

This case is a refurbishment design for the library; the original congested and chaotic book collection space is renewed, and the light industrial color tone is used as the design standard to construct a reading space that combines aesthetics and practicality.

At the beginning of the design, it took a lot of time and energy to integrate the opinions and needs of the school principal and other faculty members. Furthermore, the project is a library with an ancient history and a large collection of books. The effective allocation of reading areas and book collection areas will test the designer’s work methods. It is also necessary to solve the problems of congested space aisles and poor light due to the arrangement of the bookcases. First of all, the books are separated and the remaining collections are distributed around. The space is divided into teaching area, reading area, performance area and counter area through interspersed and staggered bookcases, so as to liberate the space and escape. The traditional arrangement of bookcases can improve the problems of crowded flow-line and poor light.
