The building is not only a carrier of people's living and daily activities but also the presentation of cultural connotations. For this project, the designer has merged oriental and modern aesthetics to the exterior of the building, reflecting the historical and humanistic side of oriental architectural beauty. On top of that, the design team has utilized framed scenery as the expression of the building and incorporated it with the natural landscape and greenery to produce a dialogue between the building and the urban environment, which cleverly softens the stiff urban impression. As far as the building’s exterior is concerned, the design team has selected black and white gray tiles to produce visual layers through the conversion of color and texture of materials. Using wood grain materials and greenery brings a tender and friendly touch to the space. Besides, the historical and oriental windows are transformed into a chessboard-style window pane design, which discloses the context of modern oriental aesthetics. With its geographic advantages, the project is located at the corner of the road. Cleverly, the architects used white stone bricks to frame the façade and resourcefully used a rhythmic staggered configuration to allow the building to change expressively with the sunlight and shadows, creating a dialogue and interaction with the city, thus bringing it closer to the urban environment. A green grass area is preserved at the corner of the narrow base to add a fresh and pleasant atmosphere to the site. Through the hollowed-out ground floor, the building not only brings in urban activities but also brings in sunlight, air, and greenery, so that residents will enjoy a comfortable living space while immersing in the urban environment.
