This project is designed for the newly-weds, whose anticipation for the space is to not only meet their needs, but to build memories together here. The designer turns the previously empty house into a moderated loft style living space, with a color palette of warm brown and white, plaster-like walls, and some LED track lighting.
The living room serves a minimalistic style, and the large French windows offer a beautiful view. As the sun shines in, the space is rendered with a sheer layer of gold, and the couch would be the best spot to relish this beauty and start a new day. Next to the living room sits the study, whose glass walls are applied for transparency. The space thus maintains fluid and spacious. Instead of bookcases, wall shelves are applied, which add some layers to the room. The shelves can multifunction as a “cat tree”, for the special cuts the designer left for cats to go through. This allows the owner to have moments of joy with the fur kids while working in the space.
The semi-open plan connects the kitchen and dining area, so that conversations would not be stopped by the space limitation. The owner can still interact with their guests while preparing meals.
