Light, the very soul of a space.
As Tadao Ando once expressed, "Light is the most crucial controlling factor in all of my works." Thus, the designer arranges the overall appearance of the space through the interplay of light, harmoniously blending natural and artificial light to create an atmospheric ambiance. In this particular project, the emphasis is placed on excellent natural lighting, providing a favorable inherent condition for the dwelling. Special textured and shimmering marble is selected to accentuate its ever-changing qualities. Additionally, titanium-plated metal and grey glass are introduced, adding reflective and refractive effects to enrich the spatial variations.
In the public space circulation arrangement, a Z-shaped pathway is designed to emulate the refraction of light, gradually guiding the light into the interior. It is akin to a graceful dancer twirling on the stage, invigorating the entire space with its fluid and elegant presence. By contrasting the two forms of light in public and private areas, the design showcases the versatility and boundless nature of light, subtly adjusting the psychological state of the occupants.
