The living space for a couple with feline companions was thoughtfully designed to meet the aesthetic preferences of the owners and the needs of their pets. The owners expressed a liking for the wabi-sabi style and earthy colors and desired a harmonious integration of their cats' activity area with the overall aesthetic. The designers conducted a thorough assessment of the owners' lifestyles and their cats' habits in order to create a secure and cozy environment for all.
The designer created a spacious and comfortable activity area for both humans and cats in the shared living area by integrating the living room with the dining room. To ensure a friendly living environment for the cats, the designer added a cat tree, cat cave, and dedicated walkway to the TV wall. There is also space underneath the TV cabinet for the cats to rest and store litter, following the principles of "cat ergonomics". The use of curved elements and wabi-sabi aesthetics enhances the standard cat jumping platform's appearance, ensuring the home maintains its aesthetic appeal and practical functionality.
