Simple and Serene

The client is a gentleman, who places high premium on living quality and cultural taste, with a large collection of artwork, mainly of ceramic work of contemporary Taiwanese artists. In order to create a grand interior that complements the collections, the design team infused the collections into the interior with several specially designed display areas to articulate the visual, the texture, and the artistic semantics that adds elegant soul to the interior spatially. In order for art to infuse living spaces, it was not merely to display art in space but to frame the visuals of artwork in synergy with floor plan, circulation and functional layout, as well as color, texture and the artistic semantics of the collection. The overall space is anchored on stern and simple colors in line with the bold nature of the paint work of the ceramic bringing beholders a sense of aesthetics transcending the ordinary and the mundanely, while uplifting their souls and spirits.
