Serene Solidity

The retro-modern and rugged styles of the 1950s are intertwined. The brisk and clean lines and color blocks are ingeniously balanced with the softness of wood and the firmness of stone. The sunshine makes the home not only a resting place, but also a practice of life aesthetics. This project adopts an open design and an open space plan, so that the house will not appear crowded, and it also allows the sunshine and air to have a good permeability. The design concept of the overall space blends nature and the owner's preferred industrial style. The black, white and gray base is combined with natural and warm wood grain, creating an unexpected but harmonious contrast. The ingenious retro elements add depth and charm to the space.

Because the overall space is not very spacious, the designer used many techniques to weaken the oppression brought by the structure: the long mirror at the entrance, the ingenious line of sight guidance, the open pattern and the wide range of white all expand the overall vision effect. The space is in black and white tones as a whole, and the green leaves and wood grain dotted in it soften the clean lines and make the space more organic.
