Rock'n'Roll Soul

In order to display the openness and connection between the spaces, designer created the connection via the platform by the window with electric roller blind, being put down as the partition between the lounge and the study. The partition between the foyer and the dining room used retro glass for decoration and further designed a circular plate on the iron piece giving it an alternative function as a foyer key locker. The deliberate cutting angles of the cabinet provided an interesting touch, while the wall with holes by the dining room passageway was presented in rusty paint, acting as a characteristic wall in the space. The wall utilized solid wood rods with coarse screw which was set to transform it into ahanging section for hanging up and placing objects. Since the house owner has a cat, therefore designer have specially selected objects with materials suitable for pets.

The naked ceiling was used straight forwardly for the public space, mutually corresponding to the wooden ceiling of the foyer,which balanced the textures between coarseness and exquisiteness.
