INSPIRATION: This art book was designed to feature the view of a jewelry artist who was confronted with a question that our mental association process is now more dependent on online searching rather than our personal experiences or sensibilities. She uploaded images of her own collage onto an image search engine to create a list of keywords through an algorithm. Will we blindly trust the search results? Or can we accept the differences, and find clues to develop a new way of seeing?
UNIQUE PROPERTIES: This art book features 8 collages and the keywords derived from the algorithm. The keywords are each printed separately on tracing paper so that the viewer can see either just the collage, or the combination of it with its keywords. Square paper allows the viewer to see the collage and words equally from 8 different angles. As typography, the title PRESS is creatively arranged in the seams, etc. to conjure the image of the roller printing machine that was used for making the collage.
SPECIFICATIONS: Width 210mm x Height 210mm x Depth 10mm 40pages 100g In this book, plain papers and tracing papers are alternately used.
