The Center for Culture and Communication
Located in Zapopan, Mexico captures attention and differentiates itself with its imaginative contours, volumes, and spaces morphed into a unique and pleasing design. The design team explored several geometric shapes and spacious design options to mold the facade in order to achieve an organic design that would adapt to the environment and blend harmoniously with the art that fills its walls. Three large panels that seem to overlap create the facade, similar to the highs and lows of a melody or the graceful movements of a performer.
A collection of external spaces that form an organic and fluid-structure, creating visual rhythms in the general building composition and design. The project conceptualizes the interaction between art and society, between the two lies a synergy that can be bridged by culture and communication. This flow was translated into the organic shape that became the base structure for the center. Palcco covers 264,555.39 sqft. of land effectively doubling its number under construction from 589,647.01 sqft.
