NIU Beer Bar

As life pace becomes faster, business space design has gradually been short of sense of culture even though its design is in style. Beer has a long history. Therefore, we should consider how to express its sense of culture and encourage young people to know about beer’s culture and history.
The project’s spirit comes from museum. We hope to show beer’s sense of culture by making full use of museum. Design innovative space style by combining culture space with business space. We use ceremonious exhibition at the entrance’s corridor. Each exhibition window marks its processing method, brand, and type.
We are thinking what’s the environmental design? How to design besides use of the newest and most popular materials?
However, we use abandoned red brick which is unfriendly. Honestly, from the view of long history, it isn’t environmental at the modern time. A number of red bricks remain in previous projects in modern time. In fact, we shouldn’t neglect red brick and deny its contribution to world architecture. Red brick supported simple houses which were used for keeping warm and against cold weather when architecture technology was underdeveloped. Therefore, we decide to make use full
