This project is a two-family house adjacent to the waterfront, with an indoor area of 75 pyeong. The business owners is about to retire, and their children are all married. Due to the change of living members and different stages of life, the owners hope to prepare for retirement life early. It is hoped that the space after consolidation can meet a small amount of official needs, improve the original living functions, and re-plan the spatial pattern.
Designer eliminates compartments that do not meet the needs, raise high ceilings, open space scales, integrate the storage and movement lines of food and kitchen, add the owners’ favorite Tatami room, and adjust the configuration of bathroom to meet the living habits of the owners, etc., to create a new retirement living space.
A large L-shaped sofa with low back balances the spatial scale; semi-open thin wall area separates the kitchen space, and hide storage cabinet, to meet the needs of kitchen storage. The master bedroom with complete function has a rest area, dressing room and bathroom decorated with titanium plating, showing unique day-lighting and beauty.
