This housing project adeptly adapts to post-pandemic living, prioritizing adaptability, social distancing, and health safety in its design. Central to the concept is a reimagined lobby and property management area, inspired by EUA Research Team's insights on pandemic-responsive design, serving as a hub for efficient flow and delivery sorting.

The entryway welcomes residents with a landscaped garden, leading to a lobby defined by warm wood textures and directional flooring patterns, enhancing navigation and area distinction. Glass bricks in the visitor section ensure privacy while allowing natural light diffusion, with clear signage overhead for easy zone identification.

The lobby's design narrative extends outdoors, with an overhanging canopy accentuating the entrance and harmonizing with granite panels that resonate with the landscaping. The communal outdoor space, enriched with dense Yellow Wax Tree foliage, offers both shade and a shared serene ambience.

On the rooftop, curved aluminum panels evoke the softness of sails, enriching the space with a play of light and shadow. Perforated metal enhances the laundry area's privacy and aesthetics. The solar-panel integrated façades with wood-like aesthetics and the barbecue area's aluminum paneling contribute to a natural, organic atmosphere.

The design also features varied elevations in northern and eastern landscapes, creating secluded, natural nooks for residents and passersby. The rooftop’s multifunctional spaces, with their thoughtful material and planting choices, encapsulate the essence of modern living harmonized with nature.

Collectively, the design elements of the Houyi project create an enhanced residential experience, embracing a fresh approach to living in the new normal, where every detail is meticulously crafted for comfort, privacy, and a connection with the natural environment.
