This case has restored the ancient ways in soft fashion. It looks outmoded but yet not messy, tattered but not filthy. Afterall not all bare pipelines and worn-out walls must be labeled as the industrial style.
In this case, the cafe adopts gray as the overall tone and creates a pure spatial atmosphere with simple forms and materials, generating right tension in the space. The changing texture patterns of the pillars and ceiling have conveyed in a witty way the design concept of restoring the retro aesthetics in a fashionable approach.
The designer has changed the regular rote style of the coffee shop and uses large area of transparent glasses to separate the functional zones, which brings better visual permeability and ductility to the limited small space. The space is divided into full functional areas with simple kitchen, coffee making area, music area, chat and smoking area.
Furnished with custom tables and chairs designed by the designer himself, stainless steel packing materials and kitchen stuff settled around the coffee making area, simple materials used and redundant soft decorations removed, the "less is more" design principal is well embodied by the designer.
