Idyll Time

Taking inspiration from the Chinese said “Snatch a relief from life’s drudgery” as the scenario of the design. The designer created a perfect villa-like home for a semi-retired couple, which connects spaces between life, emotions and memories. The designer presented an explosion of colors to create dynamic feel between rooms to the design, white color as main color on the wall; accent color-green for the cabinets; dark color-gray as room switching sign. Moreover, building a vertical garden on the balcony which not only was consistent to the accent color but also injected warmth and greenery into the home like an oasis in the city.
How to utilize proper materials was a challenge, after constantly compared all different materials and made samples, the designer found the ideal veins and texture of building materials in line with the interior style. The designer utilized wood-like marble, system furniture, engineered flooring, and diatom mud wall paint which gives antibacterial and deodorizing performance. In addition, mixing epoxy resins and hardener to make tile gap filling agent with strong adhesion, the designer used it for bathroom to improve durability and mildew proof ability.
