The case is a private residence located in Sanchong District, New Taipei City; the owner is a shoe designer who is a massive fan of stone materials. To accomplish the owner’s ideal living space, the designer used “natural materials” and “lighting using” as the two key points to create a modern, fashionable, yet comfy living scene. Homechen design applied natural materials such as marble, translucent stone, and solid wood. Stone materials’ nature grains are used as the visual theme to apply at the entryway entrance, the television wall in the living room, and the tall display cabinet to create a naturally smooth and dignified atmosphere. To avoid the structure’s tonal over-cooling, the designer implemented woodcrafts with warmth specialties to create layers visually using appropriate arrangements. Material selections were different from those being used in the public area to build up a warm and comfortable resting space. Woodcrafts and stretch clothes are the primary tones in the bedroom, along with colors chosen according to the owner’s personalities and interests; furthermore, the cooperation of simple slot linear designs has created a modern and comfy resting area.
