The house is located on a high floor in the building, overlooking Taiwan's northernmost harbor and pristine mountains. The house is owned by a couple of doctors who love mountaineering, so they came up with the design concept of making a wooden cabin in the forest with a natural atmosphere. In terms of materials, we use iron pieces, weathered deep oak floors and rough-cut products. Embellished with the dark green of a coniferous forest, the expression of space inside the cabin is formed.
The selection of materials and software design also attempt to make a dialogue of the overall atmosphere with modern humanism and rough pioneering spirit.
The moving line arrangement divides the space into two. The first half of the room combines those with the independent function (the living room, the study room, the terrace, and the kitchen) into a wide public area. The change of the floor material is used as the boundary of the space. When it comes to kitchen area, change the floor material from wood to easy-to-clean tile. The raised floor to the terrace becomes a reserved access for sitting and it extends to the reading area.
