Gaoxin Culture Center

Gaoxin Culture Center is located in the south of the Dayuan Park in Chengdu High-tech Zone, at the intersection of Tianfu Fourth Street and Shenghua South Road. The planned gross floor area of the project is about 168,800 square meters, including about 100,900 square meters for the above-ground buildings and about 37,860 square meters for the basements.

Considering the relatively square characteristics of the library space, the design team makes flexible use of the “square” theme to arrange diversified square boxes upward for a sense of order, creating a scene of a winding path leading to an enchanting view, while strengthening people's interactions. In terms of colors, it collocates great many warm colors (wood colors), to create a genial atmosphere, letting the readers better fit into the space. Meanwhile, incorporating the different use spaces, it adopts the modern minimalist technique to decorate parts with circular modelings and round lamps, which enriches the spatial expression, and builds a cultural atmosphere as illustrated in an ancient poem line that reads, "the quiet and idle gate faces the mountain road, and a reading hall is hidden deep in the willow shades".
