Eclipse

The designer was inspired by parental love for the children and by the close relationship between family members. The halo around the warm light outlines a beautiful circle which is like the moon rising over the sea and symbolizes maternal love as profound as water. However, the warm veneer and the texture of the hard stone represent the head of the family so as paternal love as thick as mountain and the unyielding spirit. The designer created symmetry in the space extending from the house gate and divided interior façade via woodworks grilles and stones’ textures. The living room and dining room were separated by an abrupt beam and column. To keep the integrity of the façade and eliminate the feeling of presence from the beams and columns, the designer moved the wall connecting daughter’s room and TV accent wall towards the living room. Each room is mainly designed in the dark palette and uses similar in materials to the public area but combine with room owner’s preferences and characteristic to keep the subject of the design the same as the public area. Therefore, each room has its own characteristics but is not out of place.
