This project was originally a semi-finished house of which layout did not meet the clients needs and the daylighting was not ideal. After the designer re-planned and renovated the house, the overall design direction is built around elements including sunlight, natural materials, earth tones, fluidity and stability of space, so that the occupants can clearly feel the space, light, material and tranquility in daily life. Outlining the space with natural and simple style, it creates an ideal home. The original house unit partitioning was not ideal, and the interior natural lighting was restricted. Overall design uses a circulation corridor to define the space into left and right areas: the left is the private space, and the right is the public area such as living and dining, study room and guest room. Low cabinets are used as the partition between the living and the dining area, creating a sense of openness of different functional areas, enlarging space visually and presenting the depth of home. The study room has the flexibility of being transformed into a guest room when required.
