Insert a glass box, and more light will enter. Visual translucence works for space division, creates a clean-air vibe and counters the fast pace of walking in contemporary cities. For the huge gap between the two glass walls, angling and weight capacity are given careful calculation to actualize a complete glass surface with all required materials.
The modularized treatment of the structure, given rectangular stacking or hollowing, ensures multi-directional extension of one’s eyeline in response to the need for optimal use of small spaces. Thus, the use of a dining table is redefined and replaced by a bar table to maximize available space.
The railway hub brings heavy foot and vehicle traffic. This project, given its location, aims to provide a space where people can breathe naturally. The designer, by way of lighting design, involves the distant mountain vista to shorten the visual proximity to natural greens. Allowing the transmission of light, glass is the key element in this project. It is mixed and stacked with other materials to overcome the hurdle of small space and to effect space division by function.
