The project is a five-story, self-built house with 991.7 square meters to serve 10 family members. The design team was inspired by the harmony of the family. Instead of dividing the space, they explored the connection and meaning of light. The interplay of light between the vertical and horizontal axes allows for the visual extension of the long and narrow layout. The delicate texture of the harmonious space is formed, allowing “the light source to have more meaning than itself.” The low saturation of color blocks outlines the refinement of the environment. The changes in light and shadow enrich the interior yet create an artistic expression. The design team uses light, shadows and, lines to construct the visual in the space thus named this project "Between line and structure." The whole space preserves the privacy of each family in the private area while maximizing the interaction of each family member in the public area. The design team takes "home" as the start, and constructs an ideal residence for three generations.
