The Phase 2 campus design of Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College aims to merge cultural landmark, humanistic space, and natural landscape. A successful campus holds generational memories and generates societal value through intricate system collaborations. The new plan balances emotion and reason, aspiring to forge an inclusive educational hub. This hub integrates innovative talent education, pioneering research, and emerging industries, embodying both sensibility and logic.
The campus design incorporates three main clusters: research, teaching, and living. Research cluster features a circular corridor, the Research-Industry Belt, connecting colleges for an organic integration. Teaching cluster has a circular public space, the Teaching-Research Belt, facilitating small lectures and meetings. The living cluster comprises six themed residential colleges interconnected through the Living Belt. The efficient linkage of these clusters functions like a precise machine, with independent yet interconnected parts, while also allowing room for future campus expansion.
