Valle Aurina is a famous location in winter and in summer time. During the summer there are lots of hiking and mountain biking possibilities, in the winter, of course, the focus is on skiing and snowboarding. The design intention of the new „Ahrena“ is focused on a Visitor & Parking Solution, which should be accompanied by a new orientation through improved interaction and become multifunctional usability. With the positioning of a platform, through the buildings of different sizes are plugged in and atriums are opened, there is a multitude of possible uses on both levels. Guests and Visitor-Flows are efficiently directed through the access atrio or through the buildings to the platform. With the design of the „Ahrena“ it becomes possible to create a newly conceived valley station, which is characterized by multiple functionality - a year-round base camp, starting point for numerous adventures for families and sport enthusiastics in this special mountain destination. The idea behind the design is based on the concept of the resolutions, for these Planning situation usually common, large form in smaller sections. Main advantage is the multiple usability of individual volumes.
